Horizon Geologic was started in 2001. Prior to 2001 the owner Glenn Tarrant operated under the name Tarrant Mudlogging Consultants from 1985 to 2001. We primarily provide mud logging services for the Michigan basin. We also log wells in the surrounding states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia.

We run six full service logging units, with total gas & chromatograph instrumentation. Horizon Geologic personnel consists of several logging technicians with a wide range of mudlogging experience.

We pride ourselves in providing high quality service to each of our clients through precise attention to detail and a close working relationship with the operators, rig hands, service company representatives, and state and federal agencies.
